SafePal Is the First Hardware Wallet To Support Open Network (TON)

Hello SafePal Community,

Since there has been significant demand for The Open Network, we are working on integrating TON shortly. SafePal Software and Hardware wallet will be fully compatible with The Open Network (TON) in Q4 of 2022. A later date will be announced for the Extension wallet support.

We (SafePal) are pleased to announce that SafePal will become the first case of native hardware wallet integration for TON. With this integration, TON users can store, send and receive Toncoin in a more secure and seamless way on the Open Network.

About The Open Network (TON)?

TON is a decentralized, ultra-stable, and user-friendly next-generation blockchain with low transaction fees initially built by Telegram to onboard billions of users.

The project was designed in 2018 by the Durov brothers, the founders of Telegram Messenger. Later, it was handed over to the open TON Community, which has been supporting and developing it ever since.

Thanks to its ecosystem of user-friendly services, which are decentralized analogs of the App Store and Google Play, TON has a unique opportunity to become the first network and cryptocurrency in history made for the mass market.

TON supports workchains and dynamic sharding. The system can potentially accommodate up to 232 workchains, each of which can be subdivided into up to 260 shardchains with near-instant cross-shard and cross-chain communication. While Visa can process max. tens of thousands of transactions

per second, TON can process millions.

The TON community is growing rapidly, the many services and software wallets with and without support already developed, which can be found here: https://ton.app/wallets.

The @wallet service, developed on TON, has made it possible for the first time to send and exchange tokens seamlessly over P2P between users within Telegram. And Telegram itself recently launched a tokenized usernames auction based on the TON blockchain.

SafePal, with the help of a grant from the TON Foundation, is currently actively developing open source code to meet the needs of our community.

The TON community brings together more than 2.5 million users worldwide, including a large number of local communities, teams of developers, publishers, payment solutions providers, and entrepreneurs.
